An exciting opportunity exists to join a stable, family-owned company in a new Staffing/Recruitment position. You will bring with you previous recruitment or agency staffing experience and will hit the ground running to quickly become a part of our HR team. Using your understating of high-volume recruitment procedures and methodologies along with employment laws to quickly and professionally identify candidates for a variety of skills levels in a production/warehouse facility. You will also coordinate schedules and third party agencies to ensure staffing of the Company's production facilities.
 
The Staffing and Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for scheduling variable hour and seasonal workers for production facilities and recruiting qualified candidates for Company job openings.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Maintain roster of variable hour and seasonal workers.
  • Communicate directly with variable hours and seasonal workers on daily schedules.
  • Report worker count each shift to Scheduling and Production in accordance with procedures.
  • Develop candidate interest for available internal positions, including networking to identify referrals.
  • Lead recruiting initiatives, such as online posting, social media, email marketing and cold calling.
  • Screen, test and interview applicants, as well as coordinate Hiring Manager interviews.
  • Make employment offers in accordance with Company practices.
  • Maintain electronic and paper records, such as Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Coordinate other staffing needs with third party agencies, as necessary.
  • Perform new-employee orientation and on-boarding.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with federal, state and local employment laws, as applicable.
  • Maintain employee records, both electronic and hard copies.
  • Recommend ongoing improvements to Company’s staffing and recruiting efforts.
 
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain thorough job knowledge through ongoing education, publications and networks.
  • Other related duties, as assigned.
 
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred. Two years of high volume recruiting/talent acquisition or staffing experience required.
 
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Computer skills – MS Office (Word, Excel) and utilization of ATS and HRIS software,
  • Working knowledge of current labor laws,
  • Ability to communicate, exchange information, access and interpret data in person and via telephone and computer,
  • Effective and professional verbal communication skills with a diverse group of individuals,

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The Staffing and Recruitment Coordinator works in a clean, well-lit office environment with some exposure to shop elements such as moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and moderate to loud noise.
